In the movie Notting Hill, the song “She” is sung by Elvis Costello. I think it is a remake. Who was the original singer?

My BF is coming home from marine bootcamp in a week for 10 days and we decided were gonna hav a “movie day” where we watch one of my movies and one of his. which one of these should I pick for mine? i love em all thanks guys we went to see “P.S. I Love You” (which we put at the bottom of our letters now) when he was home last and he liked it so i think hed like one of these too
