Is Sunday Or Monday Better For Notting Hill Carnival?
I’m a young bloke so I’m going for the music and drinking rather than floats and family stuff. Also some people say it can be dodgy there, is that true or an exaggeration?

I’m not sure if it started on Saturday or Sunday
…searching for famous places that appear in films, can it be confirmed that the bookshop that was used in the fim Notting hill really exists, or was / is it really Hollywood stuff ?
In the film Notting Hill one of his lines is “Chicks love gray, nice firm buttocks.” He says it just before he is about to walk outside his house in his underwear ![]()
Does anyone know what his name is?
I heard that the reason for the Notting Hill carnival was to unite the community because the immigrants weren’t liked in that area. However, maybe the people who didn’t like the immigrants were right, because of the riots on the weekend appeared to be caused by immigrants. I didn’t see a single British person among them.
Me and my 2 friends are going to Thorpe Park on Sunday, we are 14 and 13 and all have Oyster cards.
I live by Notting Hill Gate, whats my easiest way to Thorpe Park and roughly how long will it take?
Also, it would help if you included ticket prices if i cant use my oyster card,
Thank You very very much!!!
With 480 arrests at this years Notting Hill Carnival, is it now time to pull the plug on this event?
I for one, don’t think so, as those arrested represent a tiny majority of the 1 million people who attended. What do you think?
How far is Surbiton Road in London (close to Kingston) from Notting Hill Gate and Kensington High street? My boyfriend lives in Notting Hill gate and I have been offered a house in Surbiton Road, is it close by and also is it a safe and friendly place for children – as I have a 4 year old son with special needs who is used to a quiet and safe enviroment.
I and a friend will be coming from the West Midlands to Nottinghill Carnival today, where is the best place we could park and get the train into Notting Hill… I imagine we would have to take the M40 south…
Thanks
It is very close to the Notting Hill Gate tube stop, across the street from a starbucks. It is a small cafe with pizza, calzone. It has a website but I cant find it.
