I wish to point out is that this place is NOT organic, so if you are staunchly organic then move along.
When questioned as to where they got their ice cream we were told it was “Italian”, and then when they checked we were told it was an English supplier. A quick look at the supplier’s website confirmed that it was not organic at all… We were then told the salesman must have lied to them. Maybe this was the case, but if you run an ‘organic’ restaurant then the provenance of your food is paramount. You cannot simply take the word of the salesman and not do the simplest of checks yourself when you are attempting to elevate yourself above the competition. Do their other suppliers simply turn up with a bag of meat and tell them “Yeah, that’s organic, take my word for it”?
Once you realise that the pudding is not organic, then you tend to question if anything is organic at all.
Apart from that the meal was pretty average – and a disappointment for a valentine’s meal…
