It’s not that I think the place is average, i quite like it here. But I’d never make a special trip to come here, and I’m actually not sure that I’d make a point of coming back. That to me = three stars.
Took a while to find (no, I don’t know why either, it’s a bit of a eyesore, and you’d think the peoople sitting outside would be a bit of a giveaway), and the barstaff are very friendly. Cocktails are tasty (and cheap – rare you get a cocktail for under £7 these days – and in West London!)
Its a nice place. Laid back enough to have a chat, but still lively. But there wasn’t anything blowing me away. Not even my cocktail. If you’re a Tiki bar, I expect your rum cocktails to kick ass, rather than just be “very nice”.
The three stars was cemented by the toilets. For some reason the men have to walk through the ladies to get to their loos. NO. Just no. You’ve ruined all sorts of bathroom gossiping right there. And honestly, I think there’s some things that should be kept separate. Bathroom habits are one of them.
Pop in if you’re right by (and don’t walk up the little stairs next to it) but don’t get on a train to come here.
